History of Photography part 2

1826 or 1827 - The first photograph was created by Frenchman Joseph-Nicéphore Niepce on a polished metal plate. He used a substance called Syrian Asphalt - bitumen compounds made from petroleum. the reuslts were still very imperfect.

1839 - a year considered to be the correct date of the invention of photography. Frenchman Louis Jacques Daguerre demonstrated a photographic image of the French Academy received as a result of the action of iodine vapor on a polished copper plate coated with silver. Daguerre method, called from the name of the creator dagerotype allowed to obtain a correct picture, but only in one copy, since the image formed on the plate was immediately a positive image.
